Jenna Fischer is best known for her character Pam Beesly on the acclaimed TV show The Office The Office, for which she was awarded the Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress and Two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble Comedy.
Jenna was raised in Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna watched as her mother Anne was in the church stage. She was awed by performance and theater began as a young girl.
Theater actress with training, Fischer returned to her roots after wrapping The Office. The actress starred alongside Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway play Reasons to be Happy. In Steve Martin's most recent show Meteor Shower (an absurdist comedy with Greg Germann & Josh Stamberg), she went on to perform the record-breaking Old Globe Theatre's world premiere.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer launched Office Ladies, a podcast that airs on Earwolf in October 2019. The show has been hugely successful, reaching its Top Ten worldwide every week as well as receiving over 200 million downloads during its initial two years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She is the writer of The Actor's Life The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide (coauthored by Angela Kinsey), in which her story of moving from St. Louis to Hollywood and becoming a working actress is detailed.
